The William Lacey Sustainable Homes division provides an integrated design, project coordination,and construction management role for Housing Associations and Councils who need to optimise Code compliance within the requirements of the new Code for Sustainable Homes.

The Company has already built many new Code 3 projects which include partnership homes and homes for sale, but the Brookwood Farm development of twelve Code 5 houses is at the forefront of the new cutting edge technology. There have been other Code 5 homes built but they have been experimental in appearance, the Brookwood Farm homes have been designed to blend with the traditional architectural style that prevails locally and on a whole development scale.

The key construction features of the new Brookwood Farm homes are an innovative wall, window and door system providing a completely insulated shell, a system than can be used on any project, up to and including Code 6. The renewable energy requirements are provided by photovoltaic slates integrated with natural slates, a heat recovery system and rainwater harvesting.
